Calling Features
The features listed below are $2.45 per month for the first feature and $2.00 per month for each additional feature thereafter.
   
 
  • Call Waiting
    Enables you to answer a second call while you are on a call. A special tone lets you know when another caller is trying to reach you. You can deactivate this on a per-call basis.
  • Call Forwarding
    Allows you to transfer all of your phone calls to any telephone number.
  • Speed Calling 8
    Speed dialing 8 lets you dial up to 8 of your most frequently phoned numbers with just two digits. It's a great time saver and perfect for emergency numbers.
  • Three Way Calling
    Lets you add a third person to your conversation by using the flash key (hang up button).
  • Selective Call Rejection
  • Selective Call Acceptance
    Lets only special calls get through. For those time when you don't want to be disturbed by all calls, only special calls will ring through. Alerts you to important calls you need to answer.
  • Anonymous Call Rejection
    Works with Caller ID to prevent callers who have blocked their calling information from reaching you. An announcement will tell these callers to unblock their number so their call can get through to you.
  • Automatic Call Back
    When you get a busy signal, use this feature to automatically redial the last phone number you were trying to reach until your call goes through.
  • Call Transfer
    This feature is similar to Three Way Calling except when the originating subscriber disconnects, the call gets transferred between the two remaining parties. The feature call also enables a quick conference by enabling the subscriber to dial an add-on party and hook flash before the party answers.
  • Hot Line
    Automatically places a call to a specified number as soon as the subscriber's telephone goes off-hook.
  • Remote Access To Call Forward
    Lets you activate or deactivate your call forwarding when away from home. Also requires Call Forwarding subscription.
  • Selective Call Forward
    This is similar to Call Forwarding except that the call is forwarded only if it originates from a number in the screening list. If a call arrives while Selective Call Forwarding is activated and the call originates from a number on the selective list, the call is forwarded. If the incoming call is from a number that is not on the selective list, the call rings through and is not forwarded.
  • Simultaneous Ringing
    This feature enables an incoming call to your phone number to also ring and be answered from one or two other phone numbers. The first line to answer the call is connected to the calling party and the other lines are released.
  • Telemarketing Do Not Disturb
    This feature allows you to inform callers that you do not want to receive telemarketing calls. When this feature is active, the caller receives an announcement stating that the line does not accept calls from Telemarketers and the caller must press 1 to be connected. If the caller presses 1, the call is completed to the line normally. If the caller enters any other digit, the caller receives a busy tone.
  • Warm Line
    Automatically places a call to a specified phone number after your phone remains off-hook (and no numbers entered) for a defined interval.
  • Call Hold
    Call Hold enables the subscriber (call party or called party) to place an active call on hold to activated another feature, such as placing a call or answering another station's call. When the other feature is completed, the subscriber can re-establish communications with the held party.
  • Selective Distinctive Ringing/Call Waiting
    Enables you to create a list of phone numbers with special incoming call rings. Any incoming calls from phone numbers on your list are indicated by a distinctive ringing pattern or a distinctive Call Waiting tone.     Allows you to forward incoming calls to another phone number when your line is busy.

  • Teen Line - $3.00 per month

  • Voice Mail Bronze - $4.95 per month
    The calls you miss won't miss you! Takes a message when you're away from home, on the phone, or on the Internet. Even works when the power goes out! Bronze package.
  • Voice Mail Gold - $6.95 per month

  • Additional Voice Mail - 2 sub boxes

  • Call Forward Don't Answer - $3.00 per month
    Redirects incoming calls to another phone number if the line is not answered after a predetermined number of rings.

Inside Wire Maintenance Plan

   
  Due to popular demand, Swayzee Telephone Company is proud to announce that it will once again be offering an Inside Wire Maintenance Plan. This plan provides maintenance of your standard inside wiring, telephone jacks, and diagnoses of the problem for a mere $2.50 per month. Without this plan you will pay $35 for a service call on your inside wiring if a problem would arise. Call today to sign up for this money saving offer!

   For those of you that do not wish to participate in this plan, remember that the wiring leaving the NID box going to the inside of your residence, inside wiring, and jacks are your responsibility. Please follow the instructions below if you have any problems with your phone line:

  1. Test with a REGULAR phone (not a cordless) at the NID box.

    • If there is no dial tone, the problem is on our end -- Call our office.

    • If there is a dial tone, the problem is on your end.

  2. Unplug EVERYTHING from phone jacks - phones, answering machine, computer, satellite receivers, fax machine, etc.

  3. Test jacks & your equipment one at a time until you find the problem.
